MATT COSTA!
So Nicole and I went to see Matt Costa on February 12 and the man is amazing!!
The band that opened for him is called Delta Spirit and they were quite the band. Their drummer was amazing and the rapport that they had with the audience was pretty fantastic. I was very impressed with their performance so I just had to buy their CD.... problem is that they were out for the night-- make that TOUR.
Fast-forward three weeks later and still no CD. They were good enough to send out an email and let all the fans know at least. I did take a very awesome pic of their bass player. You can see it by clicking here.
There were some very classy people in the audience.
Finally.... Matt Costa appeared.
He is so multi-talented. He can play guitar, piano, harmonica... you name it, I'm pretty sure he can play it. Oh, and did I mention that he's an ex-pro skater??? Yep. He is amazing.

In between sets, Nicole and I, being the narcissists we are, took a whole bunch of photos. 'Twas fun. She is seriously the best person to go to a concert with!

Too bad the other people around us love DRAMA. Seriously, what is it with high schoolers with fake IDs and attitude?? It's like they want people to know that they're the youngest people in the audience.
Anywhoodle, the girls behind us got into a mini-catfight with these two high school chicks (who tried to bud Nicole and I. I am a very short person so if they had gotten in front of me, I would not have witnessed the magic that is Matt Costa).
This other girl beside us got into a mini-scuffle with another girl who was the drunkest person I've ever seen. The drunk girl ran through the crowd, pushing the girls behind us out of her drunken way. When she got next to the chick beside us, it looked like they were hugging.... Nicole later told me they were fighting.Anywhoodle, the girls behind us got into a mini-catfight with these two high school chicks (who tried to bud Nicole and I. The concert took place at the Starlite Room so it was very intimate. I'm pretty sure that the show sold out, but if it didn't, it sure seemed uber-packed! I would definitely go see him again if I ever got the chance.
