"Everyday I wake up and it's Sunday Whatever's in my eye won't go away... Because my inside's on my outside My right side's on my left side 'Cause I'm writing to reach you now, but I might never reach you..." Amanda Tyler is my hero. This chickadee and I went to the Oasis concert last night and oh. My. Gosh. They were GREAT!! Too bad I missed Matt Costa for the second time in a row!! But, no matter... I got a meet and squeeze from the Matt himself. :) He even apologized because I missed him both times...!! Way to make me feel like a douche, Matt!! Hahah!
And so it shall be done...

I am going home at the end of this week. Fuck, eh? I remember the exact moment I wanted to stay in Montreal. It was late May and I was researching for the Museum (scanning websites, looking through papers, looking through magazines, etc), when I stumbled upon upcoming events on Voir.ca. "illScarlett JUNE 16", "The Raconteurs JUNE 25"... I added these two shows to Osheaga and Death Cab and knew. I have to come back. I need to live here. To quote my good friend Lucina once more, "Montreal is where the party's at..." It's been SO hard to make this decision. I love this city. Here are SOME resons why I love it so much: I have FRIENDS here. Did you see all the concerts I've been to this summer?? Its beauty makes me forget that it's hot and humid. I don't see effin' trucks every five seconds! It's close to every awesome town (think NYC, Ottawa, Toronto, Quebec...etc) In short... Montreal is perfection. Why would I want to go home?...

So Nicole and I went to see Matt Costa on February 12 and the man is amazing!! The band that opened for him is called Delta Spirit and they were quite the band. Their drummer was amazing and the rapport that they had with the audience was pretty fantastic. I was very impressed with their performance so I just had to buy their CD.... problem is that they were out for the night-- make that TOUR. Fast-forward three weeks later and still no CD. They were good enough to send out an email and let all the fans know at least. I did take a very awesome pic of their bass player. You can see it by clicking here . In between sets, Nicole and I, being the narcissists we are, took a whole bunch of photos. 'Twas fun. She is seriously the best person to go to a concert with! The stamp read "Trip Of A Lifetime" Too bad the other people around us love DRAMA. Seriously, what is it with high schoolers with fake IDs and attitude?? It's like they wan...

2008 is the Year of Concerts! HUZZA! That means that every month in 2008, I will go to a concert. And not just any concert. I'm going to go to good shows. I'm so pumped! I do go to concerts, but not on a regular basis... With this new "concert a month" promise, I'll probably end up going to two or more shows every 30 days. Yay! So this month, it's Ill Scarlet , next month it's Matt Costa and in March it's Foo Fighters ! HELL YES! Too bad I didn't get tickets for the Three Days Grace show. If I had... man oh man! January would be the BEST month EVER! Wow. 2008 is going to ROCK!
