I'm Gone

All my bags are packed,
I'm ready to go...

And so begins my trip to Montreal. I am so mellow right now that it scares me. Is it a good sign when you feel nothing... no jitters? No butterflies....? I can only assume that this calm is a good thing. I mean, what's there to worry about, right???

It's not like my plane's going to plummet into the ground and I will die... right?? Oh my morbid, morbid mind.

Back in Montréal

I'm baaaaa-ack!! My new roommates (Laura and Ariane) are so different from my former ones. First off, they're both girls... they're both younger than me... they're so CLEAN!! Oh my! (The dudes, while clean, were surface clean... these girls are DEEP clean haha!) I do admit that living with Paul, Max and Marc did have its perks: they were super funny, loved the same music I did, and went to bed super-late (I feel guilty when I stay up because Laura and Ariane go to bed at 10:30 and our floorboards are creaky and I don't want to keep them up and I know I do when I walk around... phew!) Anyway, they both leave on Fridays and don't come back to Montréal until late Sunday night. Oh to be alone, once more.... My first week at Lobster was divine!! I'm in love with my boss (I caught myself mimicking her body language which is indicative of how much I look up to her). My baby cousin is going to play at Vive Latino!

This dude: This dude used to terrorize me when we were little. Allegedly. I don't remember much about our toddler years, other than the fact he had the  sweetest curls and would follow our cousin Lucia and me around.  Well anyway, after growing out of his (alleged) toddler bullying, hyper-aggressive ways, he's grown up to be an upstanding gentleman and I'm ever so proud of him and this amazing achievement! I mean, he'll be playing at a music festival in which Arcade Fire, NIN, AFI, of Montreal, Cut Copy etc, etc will play! I'm positively geeking out over this! This is huge for my baby cuz! He's been drumming since we were teenagers and I would always send him music in care packages to feed his love and appreciation for punk music and now... he's going to play in front of literally thousands and at a  huge  international scale to boot, too!  His band Los Tiros is one of the two Guatemalan bands that are going to Vive Latino.
