Going to Concerts is My Addiction

To date, I have been to seven shows.
Arkells - February 21
Hey Ocean - April 8
The Killers - April 27
Green Day (though I went because of The Bravery... *blush*) - July 6
Arkells (Opening for Pilot Speed) - July 18
Blink 182 - July 31
Virgin Fest - August 8 and 9

My cameras have been... difficult, so I only have pictures for the Green Day/Bravery show and VFest. I did take pictures for the other shows, but as my camera is being a lil bitch, I won't be posting them anytime soon.

In any case, here are pictures I took at the Green Day concert. Truth be told, I wasn't going to go to this show because, though I like Green Day, they're not among my favourite bands. However, I check my favourite bands' websites once a week. It's part of my Monday work ritual; it was then that I discovered that The Bravery was opening for Green Day. My gosh...! How I love them!

Sam Endicott is amazing (and not just because he looks like that... swoon). He's so chill and I love his tittering dance--a dance that reminds me of Eon. Hahaha! Anyway, Tre Cool played a nasty prank on him. Sam was just getting into Believe, when Tre Cool set off a bunch of pyrotechnics. Grumble.

In any case, Green Day came out soon after The Bravery's fantasmic set and I must say, I was hugely entertained! Billy is one hell of a crowd-rouser :) My sister is claiming that this is the best show she has ever been to... Me? I'm officially going to stop making these hyperbolic statements--besides, Green Day has Radiohead to compete against. Now that was an amazing show!

As usual, I was most drawn to the drummer... Quel surprise... Is there ever a time that I'm NOT attracted to the drummer?!?!
Oh Tre Cool. Why are you so... cool?

In any case, my Bedouin is coming to town in two sleeps. Am I going? Nope.
Why? Because I have been to seven shows... and tomorrow, it will be EIGHT shows. Not to mention, I was at VFest this weekend and Kings of Leon tomorrow.

How can I justify another concert this week?

Still, I will miss them. If only a certain drummer was still a prominent member of their trio...

In any case, here's an old-school interview with Pat and Eon. This interview was conducted in 2006 by Bar Shots. Sigh. I miss them!!!!!!!

"You don't love me, anymore...."
