That's awesome your loving it over there! Yes, the PROW students are doing so well...all over the place but working!!

I work at mkm (margaret kool marketing). It's definitely had its ups and downs because the ad world is tough, but it's really fun and I have learned a TON. I love being creative every day. It's like have to solve riddles all the time...it's great.

Winging it will be fine! There's definitely writing jobs around here still. We should get a PROW reunion to happen when you're back...and see what everyone is up to!

Aw, thanks! I think I knew when I started Gmac I wanted to get into advertising. Once I took some of the ad writing classes too, it confirmed it. So far, so good.

So when are you back? I'm sure you'll find a good job here! Any preference on what you want to do? More creative or more tech?

Coming Clean.

Fine. I'll admit it: I didn't submit the essay on Sunday. However, I did start it. I also decided the order in which I'd present my information. I even set time aside to work on it on Sunday. But , I didn't submit it. And it's not because I didn't want to pay the submission fee--at least not entirely. The reason I didn't submit my essay is because I didn't like what I wrote. I didn't like the style or the flow or the subject matter or the structure or the syntax or the blah blah blah. I didn't like it and I felt embarrassed that I thought I would be able to win the essay writing competition when the essay I'd written was nowhere near good enough. And the thought of sharing what I'd written made me nervous and nauseous and I'm starting to realize that part of the reason why I don't submit anything that I write is because sharing my writing makes me anxious. Sometimes, like the times he does something surprisingly sweet, I think I'm falling for him.

But then I remember that I fall fast and hard like a rock you'd throw into the water, quickly sinking deeper and deeper. I remember that falling never, ever creeps up on me all of the sudden. I remember that I know - without a sliver of doubt - when I've fallen as soon as it happens, but can never see it coming. I remember that I can't stop it from happening and it literally leaves me short of breath like those times someone jumps out of corners to scare me. The feeling is exhilarating and frightening and, yes, even addictive. When I remember how I fall, I know I'm not falling in love and I can breathe a bit easier.
