Radiohead In Montreal

I am going to Radiohead on August 6, 2008. How awesome is that?? I swear, Montreal is (to quote Lucina) "where the party's at." She's thinking about coming to McGill for school and I said she should do it! Montreal is beyond amazing. Why can't everyone live here (everyone I know and love, I mean)?!?!

Anyway, the two roommates and I went for dinner this Monday. It was very cool chilling with the two of them because I really only talk to Paul most of the time since Marc's always busy. We had a pretty chill night and well, I hate to use the word "bonded", but we did! :)

Paul and I had already bonded (having walked home in the rain late one Sunday night) but chill-time with Marc has been almost non-existent. He has great taste in music (he was at the Death Cab concert in June) and how can I NOT get along with people who like the same music that I do?!?! He even sang some Bedouin, hahaha! ("Ouais, je connais Bedouin Soundclash... 'When the niiiii-iiiiiiiaight, feels my sooooo00000oooong!!" Hahaha! So great!)

Anywhoodles, he likes Radiohead and Jack Johnson. I realised then that since I am going to Osheaga I would be an idiot NOT to take advantage of my Montreal living situation and go to Radiohead. It shall be sweet.

Osheaga is going down on August 3-4, while Radiohead is on August 6.

WHY DO I HAVE TO GO BACK TO EDMONTON??

Wow...Montreal! A museum! Look at you! That's awesome. How's the work you're doing? Are you enjoying it?

Yeah, our graduation was in June, but I was technically done my DWL in December. It's been good...still at the same job (advertising) and I'm loving it. I get to be creative every day, and that was really the most important requirement of my career choice!

So any plans when you get back to Edmonton?

Perspective on my emotional hide and seek.

Most years we quietly celebrate Jenn's birthday; it's just us seven, we have some dinner, and then we go home. For her birthday this year, she asked one of her fellow nurses, Milly, to read our handwriting and interpret our personalities. Milly's interpretation of me was not that far off-base; she inferred that I'm reserved, prideful, loyal, hard-working, stubborn, and creative --- but she also told me that I can come off as "cold". Now, it's interesting to me that what stuck with me most is the fact she called me cold. Not the fact she correctly guessed that I like to feel people out before baring my thoughts to them. Not the fact she told me I'm creative, but am wasting my talents. Nope. What affected me most about her reading is that I can come off as cold to certain people. I've been called so many things in my life (haven't we all?), but the things I've been called in the past have always had a more... well, a positive spin. I
