She glanced around the deserted street, thinking idly about the day she'd had at work. So many projects needed to be finished, but all she'd managed to do all day long was think of her deliciously off-limits roommate.

As she climbed up the steep inline on her way to their shared apartment, she couldn't help but entertain the idea that he would be awake, waiting for her. He'd done it in the past, so it wasn't unheard of. Regardless, she knew it was foolish to entertain any fantasies pertaining to all six foot two glory that she shared a shower with.

Nearing their building, she could see from the street that he'd left their hallway light on. It was a habit she'd noticed he had. She shook her head at his distraction and made a mental note to tell him about this habit of his the next time they bumped into one another.

Climbing each step with the purposefulness of a slug, her ascent to her apartment on the second floor was anything but hurried. She knew he was asleep, so what rush did she have really? Shaking her head at her own patheticness (was that even a word, she wondered), she slid the key into the keyhole and pushed.

Opening the door to her apartment, she was surprised to find Hot Roommate's bedroom door ajar... and him sitting at his computer in nothing. Not even his maroon-coloured briefs.

Quickly averting her curious gaze, she muttered her apologies and stumbled through the threshold, just as he bolted up in his spinny chair.

She made a bee-line to her bedroom, shutting the door shut behind her, begging her body to calm the eff down. Realizing that she'd seen Hot Roommate in the buff, as though she'd gone to a private showing of his... mini me. Unable to contain her laughter any longer, she fell against her door in a fit of giggles. It wasn't until she heard his soft voice outside her door that she was able to calm down.

Slowly, she picked herself off the ground. Allowing herself a moment to smile to herself at the awkward memory, she opened the door only to find her apologetic roommate standing awkwardly in the middle of the hallway. Shirtless. In only his briefs. Fidgeting with his overly large hands.

He gave her a half-smile, the blush on his face deepening when he met her brown eyes.

Cocking her head to the side, she smiled softly at the tall boy standing before her. The vision of perfection in her eyes, she was hoping that whatever he was doing at her door at the moment wouldn't add to their already sexually charged... relationship? What was it that they had?

"About that," he began, once more averting his hazel eyes. "I honestly thought that you wouldn't be home until way late. I figured that I'd be asleep, like I usually am, by the time you came in. It never occurred to me that you would be home earlier tonight. I even left the light on for you because I hate coming home to a dark, empty apartment, you know?"

She felt the corners of her lips curving into a smile, as her soft nod in agreement turned into an enthusiastic motion of up-and-down that would cause serious damage to her neck if she wasn't careful.

He gave her a reluctant smile and turned to go back to his bedroom, just as she melted to a puddle in the middle of her threshold.

This boy would be the death of her.
