I'm All Growed Up... Finally

Back in January, I wrote this post. I was concerned about my future, worried that I was a Cineplex "Lifer", and was torn between wanting my job interview to go well, or blowing it on purpose.

Needless to say, I wasn't hired for this position, and I've since started working part-time at a Mexican airline here in Edmonton [Mexicana] -- I was hired because of my Spanish, English and French language fluency. I am loving it there...

BUT, I had a job interview on my 23rd birthday. It was for a job at NAIT (the Northern Albertan Institute for Technology) as a manual text editor. 

It was a very low-key job interview; I found it easy to express myself and I was very confident... Well... drum-roll, please... I GOT IT!!

FIREWORKS! CONFETTI! CELEBRATE!

Huzza. I am now *OFFICIALLY* a big girl.
Only down side? Accepting this job means that I'm going to be in Alberta for a little while longer than I planned...

I told myself I would stop at last week's concert. I told myself that my new year's resolution of going to a show per month was already met... seeing as I've been to 12 concerts to date... Let's see... It all began with Matt Costa's concert in February Then I was lucky enough to experience the Foos in late March It was Concert-Palooza in April with THREE amazing concerts! In June I went to the Death Cab concert in Montréal... .... as well as NXNE (during which FIVE amazing bands played... only counts as one concert) In August, I went to Osheaga... .... and Radiohead. In September I saw Oasis... .... and the Saint Alvia... And now, in October, I went to my 12th concert... Bedouin Soundclash. But still. That doesn't mean that I don't want to go to David Martel's November 6th concert... or Sam Roberts' concert on November 20. I think I'm addicted to live music.

So, in my hurry to post on Muse, I forgot to mention that I've finally bought my ticket to Oz! :D Hahaha! Yep. I'm officially going to Australia with Tamara and Sean. It will be amaze-buckets. Une autre chose, le "gars" est en traîne de décider s'il va faire un voyage au Costa Rica, à l'Australie ou en Europe. Moi j'espère qu'il n'ira pas à l'Australie.
